• I’ve used the last couple of days to mooch around the usual sights of Paris. Last time I was here was the millennium and Paris had grown to three times its usual size so it was fantastic to get a better sense of the place this time;
• Last night we went to the Moulin Rouge and it was one of the best shows I’ve seen in ages. There were the expected can can girls showing off their bits but there were also circus folk, acts with huge carpet pythons, miniature horses, dogs. There was a brilliant ventriloquist and it was all seen with a couple of bottles of French Champagne!
• 7th July finds us on the TGV from Paris to Bordeaux.
