• The last few days we’ve been chalkin’ up the km in the Citroen! From Bordeaux, we drove to a lovely town called Albi – which was a delightful town and enjoyed an afternoon and night there.
• From Albi, we had intended to go to Carcassonne, but my friend Helen was staying in a palatial house/mansion in Tarascon so we bypassed Carcassonne and decided to stay in town for the night so we could catch up with Hel. The house belongs to clients’ of friends of hers and has been amazingly renovated with 5 bedrooms, magnificent fixtures and the owners (an Aussie couple) bought an adjoining apartment so they can fly their butler over when they’re in residence! Absolutely amazing!
• Tonight, we’re meeting Hel for a drink at a local restaurant (and of course she knows the owners well and it comes highly recommended) ...and for good reason. MEOW restaurant was fantastic – in fact, it’s the best meal I’ve had in France. Bravo Hel!!!!
